Musical Michael Jackson Madrid

The Michael Jackson “King of Pop” Musical

On June 25th of 2009, several songs of the King of Pop were being listened to and heard through the windows of thousands of homes. The loss of the pop music symbol has saddened so many people that nobody wants to forget him and everybody want to revive him.

Musical Michael Jackson Madrid

In October, “This Is It”, a musical documentary that showed exclusive Michael Jackson rehearsing was launched in cinemas all around the world for two weeks. And the last tribute will be released on March 13th at the Lope de Vega Theatre in Madrid: the musical “Forever King of Pop”.

Forever King of Pop

A new Michael Jackson will enter the stage of the Lope de Vega Theatre in Madrid. He is one of the 400 participants selected for the casting of the future musical. The casting proposed three historical themes, ‘Thriller’, ‘Black or White’ and ‘Beat it’ but the show includes 30 songs in two acts, with 14 dancers, impersonators and 16 choristers, acting for two hours and 30 minutes. Being the star of this musical will not be easy, because imitating the king of pop is very complicated and requires great physical and vocal preparation, plus a lot of momentum, and the know how, in order to transmit the love and the magic of Michael…

Neverland in Disney Land

Another story in order to resurrect the pop legend is the creation of a theme park in Disney Land, with a museum, an art center, a golf course and 300 hotel rooms. The idea is to create a copy of his home, Neverland, his paradise, where he lived from 1988 until 2006. The Jackson phenomenon is just beginning…

Like many people, you will enjoy attending this fantastic musical on March 13th in Madrid. With the fireworks, the magic, the live orchestra and the Gospel choir, it promises to be a dazzling and unforgettable spectacle, like Michael’s were… An anecdote: the memorial of the King of Pop on July 7th 2009 brought the highest audience ever reached on TV in history, surpassing the rate of Apollo XI, with over 2.500 million viewers. Reserve your place as soon as possible for the musical and rent Apartments in Madrid, they are cheap and we guarantee you will enjoy a relaxing stay.

Boosting Pants

Men risk with Boosting Pants

February 26, 2010 By: veniceblogger Category: Venice

Do you remember the famous Wonderbra inmortalized by top model Eva Herzigova back in the nineties? How can we forget…The most famous campaign poster was the one that showed the Czech model in a Wonderbra, gazing down at her breasts with the caption “Hello Boys”, ambiguously addressing either male admirers or her breasts. Urban myth attributed a number of car accidents to (male) drivers being distracted by the advertisements.

Boosting Pants

So now men are the ones who want to increase their ‘package’ thanks to new lunchbox-boosting pants.
The “bulge enhancing” underwear works by using a pioneering lift and holding feature on the front of the pants, which supports without squeezing, allowing for maximum comfort. Like the Wonderbra for women, this undergarment will be perfect for those men who feel inadequate about the size of their…you know…
Ok! Perfect! Leave your complexes aside, they are useless! But the answer for the next question could be worrying and disappointing: what happens once the pants come off? Maybe partners expected something…bigger. For sure, but the Wonderbra also failed to live up to men’s expectations, when they realized that neckline wasn’t so great.

At the moment, British men are the ones who are risking an anticlimax for their partners by stocking up on anatomy-boosting underpants. In fact, days before Valentine’s Day, stores like Debenhams had seen a 76 percent surge in sales. I’d rather not know if these couples are still together…but the best of all is that you can order the underpants online, in case you are too shy, and want to avoid some mocking looks.
If you are one of those who need to fill their ‘package’, you can do it for just 20 euros. Visit the beautiful Italian city, book your accommodation renting Apartments in Venice and, please, don’t forget to take your boosting pants with you. Everybody will look at you, although they won’t exactly look at your face!

Satyriasis and nynphomania

Satyriasis and nymphomania

Sex is the most popular conversation topic, the one that sells the most and the one that generates more enigmas. Its omnipresence is indisputable, but there is also a downfall of it that is not taken seriously, despite its consequences: sex addiction. We are not talking about having sex several times a day, but about a severe disease.

Satyriasis and nynphomania

Sex addiction is a disease

Remember, everything in excess is dangerous! Putting limits on certain addictive behaviours such as drug use or alcohol consumption can be as difficult as stopping a nymphomaniac attitude. In both cases, it is an obsessive compulsive disorder that exceeds the person’s control, who gradually becomes a slave to his own discomfort. If the need for sex has an impact that alters the personal, economical or professional life of the subject, we are speaking about an addiction disorder known as hyper sexuality.

It has nothing to do with a dynamic libido, because here the addict suffers a lot. The addict lives sexuality as a distress, he’s gone cold turkey (he suffers withdrawal symptoms like those you get from the lack of drugs, for example) and he seeks an immediate remedy. Once he has his dose, he feels a deep emptiness and guilt invades him, because he realizes that he can not control it. Therefore he does not get any satisfaction from this behaviour.

Satyriasis: male sex addiction

Most cases of sex addiction are men suffering from anxiety, who are afraid of commitment and have difficulty with social relationships. Satyriasis is a behaviour that leads the man to fantasize constantly with erotic situations: finding prostitutes, consuming pornography on the Internet, spending money compulsively on sex, masturbating by any impulse, etc. In extreme cases, some medications are prescribed to reduce this attitude and can also be accompanied by a psychological therapy.

For women, we talk about nymphomania, but due to a lack of scientific studies, we do not have a better understanding of the situation. But there are associations of anonymous sex addicts, one American and another Spanish one, whose websites include a 12-question test to see if you are hypersexual.
The best is to learn where our limits are. To explore them, takes a short holiday alone with your partner on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. Rent Apartments in Valencia and enjoy a passionate stay.

Over 30 and still a virgin

Over 30 and still a virgin

February 26, 2010 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

We all know that nowadays the media is almost only speaking about sex, being in love and cheating: teenagers and their first kiss, teenagers and their first petting, teenagers and their first time… But unfortunately, reality seems to be different, because the number of people over 30 who are still a virgin is incredibly high. A life without sex, kisses and cuddling is the bitter truth for most of the lonesome hearts of today’s society. But how can it be that so many people, even in an adult age, have such issues with love matters?

Over 30 and still a virgin

For most of the people, excluding all the clergymen of course, a life without sex and tenderness is unimaginable. Almost every one has already had one or more partners and normally we start with those little first love affairs at an early age. And then, there are the “others”, those who often sit in a corner and are so nice and good-hearted, but act completely insecurely. Of course, shyness is nothing bad, because there are loads of hyperactive people, who always have to be in the centre of attention. However, this special kind of person has problems to connect with other people. And here, we are not talking about finding friends, but about finding the right boyfriend or girlfriend.

There are no representative studies or surveys to provide us with more facts about this phenomenon, because the affected persons are too ashamed of telling others that they are 35 and still a virgin. This is completely understandable. But what we can say is that it doesn’t only concern a certain social class: lawyers, pilots, professors, musicians, students, unemployed…Psychologists think that certain happenings and behaviours during childhood can be the reason why we have people over 40 who are still virgins.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with adults who haven’t had sex yet. If the right moment hasn’t already occurred, there is no point in forcing it either. But the majority of the affected persons suffer from not having sexual experiences. They are unhappy and even depressive. Very often they only need to be encouraged a little bit. This is exactly why there are a lot of social groups which try to help them out. Mutual help and support is the alpha and omega for discovering sexuality step by step.

Whether single, married or virgin, some relaxing holidays are a good idea for everyone. What about a trip to the enchanting Italian capital? Not without reason, the eternal city is also called the open air museum. Rent the comfortable and economic Apartments in Rome and let yourself be guided by the impressive charm of the city.

Chen Wenling

Chen Wenling and his Anticapitalist Sculpture

Posted by seville | seville | Thursday 25 February 2010 11:52 am

Today we will talk about the financial crisis, about the consumerism and about the materialism, but in a very peculiar way. Specifically, from the point of view of Mr. Chen Wenling, a magnificent avant-garde sculptor born in Fujian (China) in 1969.

Chen Wenling

This ironic artist uses Western references in his sculptures. The red colour is also very important in his works. As for example in Red Memory. One of the most impressive is the series “cool”, meaning cold.

One of his works is called “God of Materialism”, a fibreglass painted sculpture.
The pig appears in almost all of his works. You could say that it is the quintessential signature of Chen Wenling. He uses the pig as a representation of greed and everything that is mundane. It is very interesting because the pig is very special in China. Chinese people eat pig in their meals and he uses it as a metaphor of greed and selfishness.

Another impressive work is about capitalism. He calls it “What we see is not always true”. Here he replaces the pig for a bull. We can see this animal (which represents Wall Street) rising from the floor with the force of his own fart and crushed against a wall. It is assumed that it emulates one of the biggest crooks in the history, Benard Madoff, with devil horns included, who is currently in prison. The scam is valued at 50,000 million dollars.

With this exhibition he wants to express the hard moments of this financial crisis. He really wants to portray the reflection of the world in which we live in. And he does it in a large scale, to draw the maximum attention to all of us and to make us think of what is happening around us.

With his tradition of bulls and pigs, Chen Wenling exhibited his works in Spain (Seville), mostly at the Contemporary Art Museum, where he joined his iconography, in this case the bull with his political views against the capitalism. Seville, the Andalusian capital, is part of the capitalist Europe. If you want to know the city, rent Apartments in Seville and take a look at his work around the wonderful streets and iconography of Seville, where capitalism and tradition come together through the art.

Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week – The Countdown and the Controversy

Posted by milanblogger | milan | Thursday 25 February 2010 12:30 pm

It’s that time of year again. Milan Fashion Week is just around the corner, and it’s a time when all the beautiful people will descend onto the city. Hotels and apartments in Milan will be full to bursting with models, agents, designers and the fashion elite, and if you want to indulge in some people-spotting then now would definitely be the time to go.

Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week runs from February 24th to March 3rd, and designers and stylists everywhere will be frantically trying to make those last-minute arrangements. Controversy recently hit the shows, however, when it was revealed that Anna Wintour, American Vogue editor and true fashion icon, would only be attending for three short days.

This set the fashion world into turmoil with all the top fashion houses wanting to change their schedules so they could showcase their latest designs in front of the fashion monarch, with the most important houses re-arranging their shows to coincide her visit between February 26th and the 28th. Fendi, Prada, Dolce and Gabbana and Armani are just a few of those couture brands who wanted to change their dates, as they had previously been due to showcase their Autumn/Winter 2010/11 collections later in the week.

However, this angered some commentators who were furious at the effects this had on the behind-the-scenes workers of the shows, but when you have the opportunity to present your collection to the most influential fashion editor in the world I’m sure you wouldn’t mind a bit of inconvenience! The shows will of course still be going ahead, so if you’re lucky enough to have a seat at one of them make sure to double-check the schedules so you don’t miss out on any of the action.

Milan is arguably the fashion capital of the world, with Italian fashion being incredibly influential. A lot of the top designers hail from this part of the world and many houses still have their headquarters in Milan itself, and that’s what makes Milan Fashion Week such a big deal – it’s the benchmark for fashion shows everywhere.

The city will be buzzing over the next week making it the perfect time to indulge in every excess that it has to offer. So, if you’re after excitement, fashion and celebrities, book the next plane out and do not miss the Milan Fashion Week. Rent the best Apartments in Milan to find a suitable accommodation.

bunker for apocalypse

A bunker to survive the end of the world in 2012

February 25, 2010 By: malaga Category: Malaga

Apocalyptic theories are reinvented every day. Some Spanish families, facing the potential end of the world announced by the Mayan calendar in 2012, have invested money in renting a collective bunker. The fear of death can lead to uncontrollable extremes.

bunker for apocalypse

21st December, 2012

The Mayan prophecy announced that the world will end in 2012 due to climatic disasters and that all mankind shall receive the light of knowledge. Others do not speak about extinction, but about changes in human behaviour or in the physical structure of the Earth.

The price of survival

The Grupo de Supervivencia de España 2012 (Spanish Survival Group 2012) has 165 members, 50 of them are part of the bunker project. They have rented an underground atomic shelter that can accommodate 50 people. The collective panic grows, and the collective bunkers increase in Spain: we can see some examples in the Sierra Nevada, Madrid, Barcelona and the area around Huesca. Each person paid 200 euros to reserve the land and will pay between 1,000 and 2,000 euros in total at the end.

The psychotherapy opinion highlights a dangerous and old trend: the masses manipulation and the easy way to generate fear. The same occured with the panic of terrorism or the Swine flu. Facing death, people react and take refuge in many ways. The bunkers are just one more.

Carpe Diem

Instead of worrying about what might happen, you better focus on what is happening right now.

Facing the alleged Y2K of the new millennium many people decided to spend all their money and do whatever they wanted because supposedly the world was going to end.

Forget about the end of the world and do not miss the opportunity to travel. Buy now some tickets to an Andalusian town and fill your lungs with Mediterranean air, rent Apartments in Malaga, they are comfortable and cheap.

festival art flamenco catalonia

For the first time, Catalonia collects the best figures in today’s Flamenco framework with a series of concerts and shows that will take place until March 6th, in different places of the Catalan region. We are talking about Festival Catalunya Arte Flamenco, which reunites artists of great stature such as Miguel Poveda, José Mercé, Duquende, Enrique Morente and Vicente Amigo, among others.

festival art flamenco catalonia

Outstanding concerts

On March 5th, for instance, you could enjoy seeing the cantaor Duquende’s art, accompanied by bailaora (flamenco dancer) Yolanda Cortés. With only nine years old, the mythical Camarón de la Isla asked Duquende to join him on the stage. While Camarón played the Spanish guitar, the young boy sang, showing everybody the talent of this master of flamenco. The appointment will take place in Teatro Zorrilla of Badalona.

Next day, you can’t miss at all the Enrique Morente recital in Teatre Josep Maria de Segarra, in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. In his last album, “Pablo de Málaga”, Morente sings Picasso’s poems. This is his album number 20 in his discography.

You can book your tickets on www.servicioentradas.com or www.telentradas.com. Don’t think about it and forget pseudo-flamenco shows in suspicious venues, addressed to trusting tourists that think they are watching a real flamenco show. The Catalunya Arte Flamenco offers real and high quality concerts in this musical genre, with acclaimed artists who are constantly reinventing this respected style that is traditionally closed to changes.

So, if you don’t want to have disappointments, book your tickets now, before you arrive here. As an alternative accommodation, rent Apartments in Barcelona, to make the most of your stay. And prepare your voice to shout the loudest ‘Olés!’ ever.

Generational Differences

Bad taste or Generational Differences

Going back to the eighties is something that is commemorated on a regular basis. For some this was a memorable decade, the great 80’s! For others it is a time of questionable aesthetic taste that they hope disappears forever. For these the present is turning into a visual nightmare. The question we should ask is how do we find an objective way to assess the aesthetic taste of a particular generation?

Generational Differences

Given that it is hard to escape from this aesthetic-cultural morass, through which everyone must belong to a particular generation, it seems difficult or almost impossible.

That is why the world is divided between those who jump on the bandwagon and those who don’t. Those who jump on usually do so because they are close to this generation, because they would like to be part of it or because they have not bought any clothes in over two decades.

Those who are anchored in the 80’s aesthetic vision already have their eyes wide open when they have to face the shopping mall crowds, and wonder why there is such a change bringing some to tears or in extreme cases to even pull their hair. For these, it becomes increasingly difficult to find what to buy in popular stores, increasing their anger towards the forefront of the new generation as they feel like misunderstood creatures that will soon become obsolete. But one thing is for sure: it will never with that bad taste!

Although the new generations bashing is a very common attitude in the human race from a certain age, history is not as repetitive as it sounds. Superfluously it seems that the return of every little thing is eternal, but no matter what they say, history does not repeat if you look at it carefully. We find proof of this in the sneakers. These shoes were already worn in the eighties and are now popular again although they have undergone major changes. The colour has increased to the point it seems impossible to find a tonal range of a single product and the combinations are unthinkable. Their shapes have become so far-fetched that it seems difficult to distinguish them from slippers.

This example is just a grain of sand on the beach, perhaps ludicrous and banal, but it could be extrapolated to larger matters.

If you want to buy eighties shoes, denim jackets and leopard trousers come to Madrid where you will find the most trendy shops or not. Rent apartments in Madrid and take the opportunity to follow your own fashion.

What to visit in Marrakech

It seems that age can more or less influence our mood. In fact, a study has revealed that baby-faced people live longer than those who appear older. This would mean that according to your physical appearance, you can know how long you are expected to live. That is right! After seven years of research a Danish scientist has proven so.

Baby face

Men are obsessed with the passage of time and death, when in fact the elder are just people in another form of beauty. But thanks to the British Medical Journal we now know that people who are 40 years old and appear to be 30, look younger because their cells reproduce more easily. But the explanation is not only outside, but there is also a biological factor. The more telomeres our DNA has (the telomeres are the ends of the chromosomes), the higher the reproduction of cells will be and the lower the aging will be.

Kaare Christensen, the professor from the University of Southern Denmark who led the study, adds that people who have had a harder life are more likely to die young. In addition, the face reflects the difficulty of the path of the life. But basically everything is relative and there is a chance factor which no study can truly explore.

Perhaps this news will make you laugh, because nowadays the studies focus more and more on dazzling and dubious things. If the eyes are the mirror of the soul and aging is just a phase of human life, it all has advantages and disadvantages.

The truth is that there is no wrong age to travel and give your eyes some of the world’s wonders like Marrakech. Keep your inner child’s soul and rent Apartments in Marrakech. That really is the way to live longer!

The Rome Marathon

The Rome Marathon

February 24, 2010 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

The Coliseum of the ancient Rome was the venue for some traditional games such as horse races and gladiatorial combats. Today, the Coliseum has become a great monument to visit and is also the meeting point for the Rome Marathon. Thus, on the 21st of March, it will hold its 16th edition, where the athletes will run close to the Plaza of Spain, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and St. Peter’s Basilica…

On March 18th, 19th and 20th, you can take advantage of the concerts, the shows and the shops that will occupy the Palazzo dei Congressi specially called the “Marathon Village” for the sporting event. Discover its beautiful terrace with gardens, frescos and futuristic mosaics…

Population Venice

The Venetians, endangered!

February 23, 2010 By: veniceblogger Category: Venice

40 years ago Venice had 120.000 inhabitants. Today, they are less than 60.000. This decrease in the population has signed the “death sentence” of the city. There are no many authentic Venetian as before. This drastic demographic change is explained by the high rents, specially for the young people, so the new generations move to other places…

Population Venice

The Venice Funeral

In November 2009, the movement Venessia.com gathered to celebrate the “Funeral of Venice,” a symbolic act whose primary goal was to warn the population of this serious problem. That same day, DNA samples from about 5,000 Venetians (at least three generations) were collected to study and protect their genetic code. This initiative, dubbed “Venetian Aspiring” gathers signatures, and seeks to arouse the interest of the municipality to provide better life quality for the Venetian inhabitants.

The reasons for the exodus

Every day, the inhabitants of the enchanting Venice faced several challenges: the high rental, the floods, the invasion of pigeons and the rats, the sinking of the city an inch every year… that’s why many of them left for Mestre, a nearby city but they still miss the beauty of the city of canals that many tourists come to appreciate.

Venice, dead?

Even so, Venice is still a top destination for tourists, specially for lovers who jump at the ferry boats and also for those who come for the carnival or the Biennial, etc. If you want to mingle with true Venetian, buy now your tickets to the Italian city. You’ll find a cheap and suitable accommodation renting Apartments in Venice.

Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland

Tim Burton: Alice in Wonderland

Next March, the cinemas will be filled with fantasy with the return of Alice in Wonderland. Surely that Lewis Carroll (1832-1898), the author of the book (1865), never imagined that he would inspire so many people… After Walt Disney (1951) did it, Tim Burton succumbs to temptation and proposes a 3D adaptation with Johnny Depp in the role of the Mad Hatter. This is a version that promises to be modern and magical! And it also has a soundtrack with top hits singers!

Tim Burton: Alice in Wonderland

We will meet again with our childhood favourite characters! The Queen of Hearts, Tweedledum and Tweedledee twins, the Blue Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit and all the others… But the story is modernized. Alice is played by the young Australian Mia Wasikowska. She is no longer the quiet little girl reading on a bench with her sister but a 19 year old teenager who’s dancing in a party. Someone wants to ask her hand in marriage, and she escapes through a hole and falls into the Wonderland, where she went 10 years ago, but she doesn’t remember anything… What about you?

The creatures, the forest and the magical kingdom will be processed visually by special effects of the 21st century: Burton will combine live actors with motion capture, and it will be screened in Disney Digital 3D, IMAX 3-D and in film traditional 2D and with the own style of Tim Burton: aesthetic, colourful, disturbing, fantastic… As we like!

The movie will promote two musical albums, one for the background music and one for the final deliveries. Avril Lavigne, Franz Ferdinand, Tokio Hotel and many other famous bands will participate in the second disc, called “Almost Alice”.
Follow also the White Rabbit and discover the new world that offers the talented Tim Burton in his Wonderland. But if you prefer a real wonderful world, travel to Valencia, a city full of surprising places. And for an even magical stay, rent Apartments in Valencia.

Yayoi Kusama- the dots’ obsession

Yayoi Kusama- the dots’ obsession

Posted by milanblogger | milan | Tuesday 23 February 2010 12:36 pm

Today I’ll speak about dots. And talking about spots, we should mention the obsession of the Japanese Yayoi Kusama for these spots. She loves the dots, especially the red and white ones, and also the mirrors. Her art is her connection to the infinite.

Yayoi Kusama dots

Mistreated by her mother, she suffered from hallucinations since she was a child. She says that if she hadn’t done art, she would have committed suicide long ago. She now voluntarily lives in a mental institution but she has never stopped her art work. She has her small art workshop nearby where she lives.

About her painting “Flower” (1954), she declared: “One day I was watching a red flower on the tablecloth and suddenly I saw the same pattern everywhere: on the roof, on the walls, on my own body and on the universe. I was spinning in infinite time and space. When I realized it I was shocked”. In the 70s she returned to his hometown, Japan.

Yayoi Kusama has exhibited “I Want to Live Forever” in Milan. If you have not had the chance to see her works, we recommend you follow her tracks: something like that is very difficult to see nowadays. Her work is really peculiar and surreal. When you immerse yourself in her world you do not know where fiction begins and where it ends to become reality… Psychedelic!

In 2009 the Japanese company KDDI AU launched 3 new phone models designed by her. In 2010 she surprised us promoting the Audi R8 car.

And after seeing so many dots, what if we take a stroll through Milan to relax a little bit? Have a tasty meal accompanied by good wine and enjoy the delicious pasta. Rent Apartments in Milan to sleep well. Let’s dream about this romantic and fantastic city!

Bisexuality Berlin

The sexuality is so wide and varied that talking of heterosexuality as the only acceptable condition is, at least, ridiculous. Over the time, the homosexuality normalized in most of the modern Western societies. It is not surprising to see a couple of guys kissing in a public place. But the bisexuality is still full of stigma; even among some part of the gay community, that considered it as a not assumed homosexuality.

bisexuality berlin

Bisexuality is sexual behaviour or an orientation involving physical or romantic attraction to both males and females. There are no parameters to measure the degree of attraction that a person may feel towards people of the same sex or of the opposite: some bisexual people prefer women, another prefer men… But they can be with both genres. Or even they are some bisexual people who have different preferences according to the period of their life.

The bisexual collective complains, rightly, that has low uptake by other sexual conditions. The bisexuality is often described as passing tendency, as a vice, as an adaptation period… But never as it really is: a sexual choice as lawful as any other. Moreover, some argue that the bisexuality is related to the culture and the modern pace of life: everyone wants to try new experiences. Why not the bisexuality?

But the experts indicate that it is not a question of a concealed homosexuality, since there is a percentage of the population who needs having bisexual erotic and emotional experiences for their emotional and sexual happiness. Therefore, it is a variant of the human sexuality.

In fact, many celebrities, particularly women, have come out of the closet (if also you can call it like that), declaring openly bisexual: Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie, Lindsay Lohan… Other important figures who had sex with both men as with women, were Dali or Frida Kahlo.

Actually, it does not matter whether the sexual orientation of each one is… What it really matter is creating a society based on respect and the mutual understanding, where there are no differences or discrimination by the sexual preference of the people. In that Berlin is a leading city… The German capital is very tolerant and cosmopolitan. Rent Apartments in Berlin and see it by yourself.

Souvenir Hunting: Keychains or Panda Poop?

February 22, 2010 By: malaga Category: Malaga

Surely you’ll have some souvenirs at home from your past holidays. A keychain of the Colosseum in Rome, a magnet from ‘mind the gap’ in London, a miniature Eiffel Tower from Paris… These are the typical, plastic junk, made in China and sold for exuberant prices in shabby tourist shops. But this year, it’ll be different. You are going to come home with the most interesting souvenirs that will make everybody jealous.

Modern souvenir

Rahela Khorakiwala is an Indian woman who has a passion for water. Everywhere she goes, she takes her labels and plastic bottles with her to collect samples of water. Her large collection of 360 bottles includes water from the South Pole, Lake Michigan, The Jordan river and the Masai Mara in Africa. You could do the same thing with sand, rocks or seashells.

If you want something more exotic, how about Panda poop? In the Chinese province of Sichuan, the officials were fed up with cleaning more then 25 tons of Panda poop every month. Now, it will be smashed, dried and sterilized and a local handicraft shop will turn it into bookmarks, notepads etc. It also comes in all colours! It is said that panda poop doesn’t smell bad at all, and even has a sweet aroma that smells a bit like tea.

How about a piece of rusted barbwire in a box! It is sold at the border between North and South Korea, and for less then 15 dollars it’s yours. Maybe it’s not something to hang above the fireplace though. If you’re looking for some kitsch for your bedroom, why not buy a Mosque alarm clock during your visit to the Middle East? It comes in pink, blue or ivory and wakes you up every morning with the Azan (the call to prayer). Nice!

Are you in for some adventure? Then take some typical souvenirs from your home town with you (especially if you are going to another continent) and ask the locals if they want to trade it for something strange. You might end up with beautifully decorated chop sticks in Asia, a weird poster or table cloth from Eastern Europe or some useless gadget in America!

In Spain, you can find loads of ‘typical’ souvenirs such as fans and plastic flamenco dolls. But why not by something useful and more special, such as a bottle of olive oil, some saffron, a flamenco CD or Jamón (cured ham). Rent the best apartments in Malaga, and take a bit of Spanish culture home with you.

Thomas Schütte Reina Sofia Madrid

The Thomas Schütte Exhibition at the Reina Sofía Museum: “Retrospección”

The Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid has inaugurated an exhibition of the famous German artist Thomas Schütte. You can enjoy it until May 17th 2010. This is the most complete retrospective dedicated to the artist in Spain.

Thomas Schütte Reina Sofia Madrid

Schütte (Oldenburg, 1954) has been one of the most important German artists of his generation, combining sculpture with painting, until venturing into the architectural world. In the sixties he worked in series with his same name where he examined the human feelings of vulnerability, isolation and despair, always under the most ironic perspective. It was not until the eighties when he became very famous thanks to his architectural models. Schütte’s whole work is imbued with social and political issues. In addition, he is very concerned about the artist’s position in society.

This show will address a journey through his extensive career, allowing the visitors to appreciate the continuous innovation of his work and his amazing evolution over 30 years.
The exhibition – entitled “Retrospección” (retrospection) – takes us through the artist’s early works, while he was still a student, until the most recent ones… This will include installations, watercolours and etchings, photographs and architectural models, and of course, major sculptures such as Women and Dogs.
We are able to see up to 65 works, which will be split between different rooms of the museum, the garden and the cloister…

Despite being world famous for his sculptural works, Schütte began his career as a painter and he was a pupil of Daniel Buren, Gerhard Richter and Blinky Palermo. But later he delved into the fascinating world of sculpture. His works enjoy a maverick and unclassifiable spirit, with a most varied style, form and technique.
Don’t miss it! Discover the best of Schütte in the charming Spanish capital. Soak up the art, culture and have fun. To find the best accommodation, rent Apartments in Madrid. It will be a perfect trip!

odor budapest

Anti-cheese deodorant for men and anti-onion for women

Sometimes the studies reveal us truly amazing things… But what’s even more amazing is the kind of studies that are being conducted. For example, who thinks of conducting a study about the feminine smell of onions and the masculine smell of cheese? Would it be that there are no more interesting studies to do?

odor budapest

The sweat has been the focus of some Swiss scientists. For their research, they put 24 men and 25 women in a sauna for 15 minutes. They took samples of sweat from their armpits and the conclusion was: women smell like onions or grapes and men smell like cheese.

Why to conduct this study? They try to understand how the bodies smell in both sexes to develop efficient deodorants. It is true that when someone needs a new deodorant, he/she changes it in hope to find the magic one that has it all: covers the odours, the perspiration, that leaves no white spots, that lasts 24 hours, that has a pleasant smell…

But there is a problem: this study may not be valid outside of Switzerland. The scientists explain that with other diet and different genes, the results can be altered. Switzerland will definitely be the most neutral country in the world: it won’t have any smell!

If you think this study is not very interesting, it might be for other people, who gave their bodies to the science and survive thanks to the money they charged for being guinea pigs. You should know that although they seem very Strange studies, they have a very clear objective: the money. It is not just a question of deodorant.

Why don’t you go to a sauna and analyze your own sweat? The Hungarian capital is highly valued for its thermal spas, so do not think twice, organize a trip to Budapest, and for a cheap and comfortable stay, rent Apartments in Budapest.

transgenic man or superhuman

Is the transgenic man Nietzsche’s Superhuman?

Posted by paris | paris | Monday 22 February 2010 12:36 pm

The human body is always in the process of constant biological adaptation to the changes that his impact causes to the environment around him. A small portion of the wealthy population refuses to accept these changes as innate, the so-called “biological creatures”. These beings, which also happen to be human, can easily be recognized by their outfits and the constant zigzags across the supermarket aisles devoted to reading labels (where the small print is).

transgenic man or superhuman

This generation was born out of the concern for diseases that have now invaded our world: cancer, degenerative diseases, etc … They thought they could return us to a previous state, a state in which the livelihoods, food and other products were not protected, preserved, or partially created with chemicals. It never ceases to be a utopian idea, as generation after generation have been fed in a very particular way, and have been exposed to a specific environment, that could not cease to genetically modify their organisms, therefore these diseases do not require an external cause to develop.

This small group of beings coexists with what would become, most of them anyhow, human beings who only read blogs, newspapers, magazines, etc … This makes for some more habitual readings, in more common places than a supermarket. These consumers are driven by the inertia of their own species, they eat what they want to eat when they please, and afterwards, they go to the bathroom. Their existence is pure and simple. It might seem that such people live a happier life, maybe they do, but less conscious.

Although the barrier that divides them seems unassailable, it really is not. That often happens that when there is disease, no matter if it is more or less serious. One of the less severe would be Candidiasis. This is a disease that occurs in the stomach and has several symptoms, but the only solution is to follow a strict and gruelling diet that would be aimed at purifying the organism.

It is strange to think that since the human body is constantly in flux, there are biological beings that refuse to evolve. And because of that they will soon be the ones who suffer more illnesses than the “gifted” bodies of those who are unconsciously adapted as they have developed resistance through consuming transgenic foods. In this way their bodies will not react adversely to these chemicals, but they will be incorporated as a part of their own genetic constitution, becoming then, transgenic beings.

Whether you are transgenic or not, come to Paris and enjoy the food whether you eat in fine restaurants, you are a fast food lover or you opt for a more conscious option in supermarkets, organic shops or restaurants. Do not think about it and rent Apartments in Paris to enjoy the food that you like.

Green Life Milan

Green Life Milan

Posted by milanblogger | milan | Friday 19 February 2010 11:39 am

It is known that to improve our daily lives is very important the environment in which we live in. In this sense, there is no denying that architecture and public spaces should play an important role to create a more sustainable urban environment. This is precisely the issue of the Green Life-Costruire Città sustainability (Building Sustainable Cities) exhibition is about. It is exhibited in Milan. Here, both professionals and citizens interested in this new era of architecture will find multiple proposals on a more sustainable city that are closer to the human needs.

Green Life Milan

In the exhibition there are nine cities that have pursued policies that encourage green design and projects aimed to optimize resources and saving energy, trying to meet the demands and the needs of the citizens and at the same time, using greener materials. The cities of northern Europe are the most loyal to this philosophy of “green life”. This is the case of Hamburg, which has pledged to reduce by 40% the CO2 emissions by 2020, and Copenhagen, with the project that aims to create neighbourhood’s free of cars. Other cities with a sustainable architecture are Stockholm, Amsterdam, Freeburg, Zurich, Vienna and Salzburg.

Other star architects such as Thomas Herzog (Soka Bau building in Wiesbaden), Norman Foster (Vivaldi Towers in Amsterdam), Renzo Piano (California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco) and Richard Rogers (Galles Regional Assembly in Cardiff), also subscribed to the European Charter for Solar Energy in Architecture and Urban Planning in 1996. You also will se many other eco-sustainable constructions by pictures, drawings, and videos: the Center for Sustainable Energy, by the Italian Mario Cucinella in Ningbo (China), the Casanova neighbourhood from the Bolzano city, the Genzyme Center (Cambridge) by Stefan Behnisch, etc.

In “Green Life” you can also attend to conferences and seminars which will contain technical, cultural and informative issues. You can also combine this exciting experience with an exciting trip to an intriguing city like Milan. To do everything perfect, you only need to rent apartments in Milan.

Sex and the Death Penalty

Sex and the Death Penalty

At this point in the XXI century, sex should be a pleasant and free practice – providing that it does not damage the physical or psychological integrity of one of the implied persons. Unfortunately, not everyone can freely enjoy sex… Many countries punish with the death penalty practices such as adultery or what it is even worse, homosexuality.

Sex-and-the-Death-Penalty

The media publishes horrific headlines reporting that X number of people have died in government hands and under the protection of the law. And what is their crime? Love? Supposedly, homosexuality is a free sexual practice amongst people of the same-gender; a sexual identity as legitimate as any other, that in no way should be punished, and much less with death. Neither should a person pay with their life for having sex outside of marriage.

Fidelity - or infidelity, is something every couple should tackle alone. Why should the government interfere? The saddest part is that in many countries not only is adultery punishable with the death penalty, but some women are even stoned to death for it. Are we really in the 21st century? Even if the adultery is the result of a violation, the woman will be stoned for it. How awful!

Sexuality is defined as the set of practices, behaviours and anatomical, physiological and emotional conditions related to seeking sexual pleasure and reproduction. The full development of sexuality is essential to the individual, the interpersonal and the social wellbeing. Therefore, it should be lived and enjoyed in a free and healthy way, with no restrictions or punishments.

But how is it possible that in certain regions of the world sexuality has regressed so much? Many past civilizations such as the ancient Greece or the ancient Rome saw homosexuality as a legitimate and common practice. Religion has played a negative role in that matter.

Let’s take a look at today’s world. In what state is the health of our sexuality? We could say that is rather delicate. While it is true that in many countries the free practice of sex is normal, so is that in many others there is still much to do… And although in many countries homosexuality is no longer punishable with death, under no circumstances do gay people have equal rights as straight people. Sex education fails in the modern world: enough repressive ideas, we want no more contradictions. Let’s fight for a free world where egalitarian rights are our goals (always based on respect towards others). Let’s fight for a free and responsible practice of sex and all that it entails.

Portugal is a tolerant and respectful country, where everyone lives their sexual life in a free manner. Enjoy your most passionate sex life in the Portuguese capital. Rent Apartments in Lisbon and let yourself be carried away by pleasure without limits.

Throw Away Society

Use Once and Throw Away Society

Posted by seville | seville | Friday 19 February 2010 11:14 am

Now that the sales are over and everyone is tired of buying stuff like crazy, it might be just the time for a little reflection and introspection.

throw away society

The things that we buy do not last, so every time we have to buy more, to replace the things that are already not usable. The question is whether this cycle is a habit that is taking roots in our society or is it just the product of an attitude. An attitude which assumes that by buying something cheaper or easier to achieve it will be better in a long term. To which the answer is clearly negative. This century, the century of the neon lights, is manufacturing more than necessary and generating more waste than it should. It is governed by the use once and throws away philosophy. But not only supplies last less, but also relationships, jobs, the rents, the friendships…

If before couples lasted an eternity, why is it so difficult now to find couples that overcome adversities together? It’s absurd to think that before people did better choices, especially because they had fewer options to meet so many people every weekend. Why do we so easily discard anything that seems useless when we want it?

It’s not that now everything is worse than before. This is just a mentality that should arise beyond the economic crisis and the ecological problems.

We want everything fast, perfect and for right now. We are creating a whimsical world. We grew in the abundance; we have not lived any war, either hunger… We are eternal adolescents who expect an answer from outside; we always look to the others and compare us with them, we do not value what we have because we can change it to something “better.” But this produces an eternal frustration. We think everybody is our enemy, instead of thinking we are all similar.

Enjoy the company of your friends with all their qualities and defects sharing special moments in the mot authentic Spain. Rent apartments in Seville, where the neon lights will not blind you.

The Oscars 2010

The countdown begins for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards of Hollywood, that will take place on March 7th at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. This year there are a few novelties in that two actors will host the show: Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, who had already presided two ceremonies. At last year’s ceremony, Hugh Jackman set very high standards with his talent for dancing and singing, portraying himself as a real showman. Let’s see if this couple matches up to him.

the-oscars-2010

Another innovation is that for the first time in 60 years, among the 2010 Oscar nominees are ten candidates for Best Picture of the Year, and not five, as usual. These ten films are ‘Avatar’, one of the highest-grossing films of all time, ‘The hurt locker’, ‘Up in the air’, ‘Precious’, ‘Inglorious Bastards’, ‘An education’, ‘District 9’, ‘Up’, ‘The blind side’ and ‘A serious man’. Without a doubt, the fight will be between ‘Avatar’ (James Cameron) and ‘The Hurt Locker’ (Kathryn Bigelow), with nine nominations each. On top of that, these directors were once married and now divorced. What a tension!

The actress Anne Hathaway was in charge of revealing the list of nominees and gave us a surprise when she announced the name of Penélope Cruz for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. This is her third nomination, in this case for her role in ‘Nine’. We remember that the girl from Alcobendas has already won the valued award for ‘Vicky, Cristina, Barcelona’, last year but it’s going to be a little bit tougher this year. But Spanish representation at the Oscar ceremony doesn’t end with Pe.

The animated short film ‘The Lady and the reaper’ has also been nominated for an Oscar, while ‘El secreto de sus ojos’ (Spanish-Argentinean co-production) has a nominee for Best Foreign Language Film.

Another curious piece of information is the fact that Sandra Bullock, one of nominees for the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role, was awarded a Razzie (the anti-Oscar) for Worst Actress in 2009. Or Meryl Streep: with this nomination she becomes the most nominated actress for the Academy Award with the astonishing record of 16 times.

Are you a film fanatic? If you are then I’m sure that you’ve been following the Goya Awards and the Berlinale. The city of Berlin is precisely one of the most cinema going cities in Europe. Rent apartments in Berlin and enjoy one of the most culture filled cities in Europe.

NightBra, the Antiwrinkle Bra

The NightBra, the Antiwrinkle Bra

When innovation and technology come together, stunning things might arise. Did you realize that when you sleep sideways you are damaging your breasts? Thanks to the imagination of Elisa Fernandez from Spain, you do not need to undergo surgery. The NightBra is specially designed with fabrics that do not fold, move or wrinkle. To evaluate the utility degree of this invention, let’s consider its advantages and disadvantages.

nightbra

After 30 years of research, the Spanish gynaecologist Elisa Fernandez created the Nightbreed: this is a bra without cups, with materials that protect the thin skin of the breast and without overlapping the edges. This is available on the Internet for 50 or 60 euros. She has received international recognition for its tremendously innovative character. Now women no longer have to worry about the unsightly wrinkles of the neckline: they finally have an intelligent and cheap remedy.

Maybe others have not even realized they have wrinkles in their chest, especially around the neckline. These human inventions are increasingly more surreal, don’t you think?

Maybe men like its design because the breasts are exposed, but it is not particularly an erotic garment (the truth is that it is far from our idea of lingerie).

We have enough worries on our minds to go about counting the wrinkles on our face therefore spending even more money on miracle creams and becoming paranoid with our beloved body. Travel to Marrakech and enjoy the sun as never before. And sleep without worrying about your position in the comfortable and cheap Apartments in Marrakech.

Hasbians - Lesbian Heterosexuals

Hasbians - Lesbian Heterosexuals

Over the past few years we got to know the metrosexual man, the softies, the yuppies, the retro man and the lipstick lesbian. But 2010 announces the arrival of a new term: the hasbian. A hasbian is a woman who has been (or still is?) a lesbian, but who is currently maintaining a heterosexual relationship. The greatest example is the actress Anne Heche, who had a relation with Ellen Degeneres for more then 3 years before switching back to men.

Hasbians

It’s the dream of every egocentric macho man: to ‘convert’ a lesbian woman. But what is the difference between a hasbian and a bisexual? Some hasbians say they are just no longer attracted to women. Or they are equally attracted by males and females. It appears that most hasbians reject the term bisexual: it scares away lesbians because they don’t trust bisexual girls (who often just want to ‘experiment’) and it scares away men because they cannot live with the fear that maybe someday, she’ll fall in love with a woman again. Bisexual girls always bite the dust.

‘So let’s call ourselves Hasbians!’…someone must have thought. But this term was actually first used in 1989 (more than 20 years ago!), by the feminist magazine ‘off our backs’. So it’s hardly a new phenomenon. But how does a lesbian suddenly become a hasbian?

Some stated that maybe the novelty of gayness has worn off, after the big boom in the eighties and nineties. Others suggested that these women feel their biological clock ticking, their hormones go wild and suddenly men seem a lot more attractive. Two explanations that are rather disrespectful, as if gay people cannot be happy without achieving the idealistically hetero-image. Imagine that you came out of the closet some years ago, but now you fell in love with a wonderful man. Does that mean you have to out yourself again, as a heterosexual this time? With the risk that your grandmother will say: ‘I knew that one day she was going to change her mind and start a normal family life’.

And what about gay men who start dating women again, do they exist? I have never heard of such a story. Women don’t feel threatened by gay men, nowadays it’s even trendy if your BFF is a homosexual guy. Are we somehow more comfortable around gay men, who strut their stuff and are proud of it, than around gay women – who are less open about their gayness and prefer to keep their private life private?

In the end, does it really matter if we are gay, heterosexual, bisexual or asexual? As Anne Heche once said: “I fall in love, not with a man or a woman, but with a person’. If you want to meet a lot of hasbian, come to Berlin. Rent apartments in Berlin, the city of sexual tolerance, gays, lesbian, hasbian, fetish………

Pegging

Pegging: when women satisfy men anally

February 18, 2010 By: veniceblogger Category: Venice

Thank God that we live in the 21st century! We can be very happy about the fact that there are no limits in regard to our sexual desires and dreams. Well…almost…Because nowadays there are still certain subjects which aren’t taboos, but nevertheless they are considered to be something “strange”. That’s the case of pegging, a sexual practice where the woman penetrates a man’s anus with a strap-on dildo. This new sexual variation broadens most people’s horizons. What about you? Are you prepared for an exciting discovery trip?

Pegging

People say very often that when a man likes to be penetrated anally, he definitely is gay. Of course, heterosexuals can feel as well a special desire of that kind of sexual pleasure. While practicing pegging, the women put a strap on with a multifunctional dildo and a vibrator. With this technique it’s possible that both partners will be pleased: while she is penetrating him, she will be stimulated with the vibrator at the same time. Both partners should have enough trust in each other and, the most important, both should be very patient. At the beginning, the novices could experience it a little bit “strange”, but step by step and with a lot of tenderness and sensitivity, both will soon reach the unknown universe of sexual satisfaction. When the men’s anus will be stretched very slowly using a lot of lubricants, men can have a real orgasm via prostates stimulations methods.

Pegging includes psychological pleasure as well. The typical concept of domination and submission, as well as the role reversal between the two genders are just some examples of the psychological satisfaction. This sex practice is normally connected with the BDSM (a compound acronym of the terms bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism). Give free rein to your fantasy. A good communication between the two partners is the most important thing in bed. Don’t hesitate in tell your partner all your sexual desires and dreams. You will be definitely surprised by all the wishes from your lover. Discover a new universe. Refuse all your worries, prejudices and clichés with the admission to your bedroom. Just let yourself be guided by your creative imagination.

We use the word “peg” in a lot of different situations: a basket peg, a clothes peg, a coat peg….as you can see, the term “pegging” hasn’t been chosen without reasons. But it is better if you figure it out for yourself…

Do you want to explore new sexual worlds? Then surprise your partner with a romantic trip to one of the most enchanting cities of Italy. Far away from the everyday life stress, you can enjoy some of the best intimate hours with your lover. Rent the comfortable and cheap apartments in Venice and leave the taboo subjects at home!
