cannabis and tolerance | Apartments Blog

We know that using cannabis for therapeutically and even recreational purposes is as old as history itself. During the golden age of medieval Islamic civilization Arab physicians found diuretic, antiemetic, antiepileptic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic properties of cannabis. Cannabis Sativa has been especially widely used as medicine from VIII to XVIII centuries. We know too that many shamans and sorcerers from many civilizations used and still use cannabis in order to come into contact with other dimensions, other worlds, different knowledge, different ways of thinking to which it was impossible to access in a normal state.

Increasingly, scientific research studies have demonstrated the beneficial effects of using cannabis in the treatment of certain diseases and conditions. Cannabis, because of its illegal drug status, is not tolerated in the same way in each country or society. There are countries with very harsh laws against cannabis and others where the contrary happens. Some tolerance is quite normal.

The problem resulting from this situation is that in order to conduct any research regarding the effects of cannabis, it is necessary that researchers can easily obtain cannabis. Otherwise, investigations take longer, cost more money or simply can not be as profound as they might and they may end suddenly, without reaching any interesting result.

Another noteworthy point comes from the current way of getting cannabis, bearing in mind that it is not regulated. The dosage of the various tetrahydrocannabinols (which is the active chemical in cannabis, or marijuana) in the plants varies widely depending of the way cannabis is created and processed. Spanish researchers and politicians work hand in hand to find a way to regulate cannabis and thus facilitate their investigations.

In Spain, especially Catalonia, a number of actions have been directed over the last fifteen years to facilitate the supply and use of cannabis for therapeutic and medical research. If you want to feel what it is like to live in a tolerant city and a pioneer in giving a cleaner image to the use of cannabis, come to the Catalan capital and spend a wonderful holiday renting apartments in Barcelona.
